Butterfly....Soon

Students have been watching and making observations about what's happening to our first caterpillar.  It had turned itself into a chrysalis and on Friday, many thought he may come out over the weekend as we began to see the outline of its wings. The children decided to cut up an orange to leave inside....just in case it decided to appear over the weekend.  Meanwhile, we began to make observations of another caterpillar and hope it will make its chrysalis over the weekend. Students are taking care of it themselves, cleaning out its container and finding more milkweed out in the butterfly garden for it to eat.  We are amazed at how much 1 caterpillar can eat!
