Sharing

This week, we will begin our sharing component of morning meeting.  To begin, we will have a structured share and all students will use their family photos you have sent in (if you haven't done this, please send one in!).

Next week, (it's a short week), adults that work in our classroom will model the appropriate topics/items to share about.  We will either bring in something special or share news that is exciting to us.

Beginning the week of the 22nd, we will begin the regular share. Please see the sidebar on the blog or letter sent home next week to find out your child's designated sharing day. Sharing might be about a visit to a grandparent, store, library or friend’s house. It might be sharing a special rock from a collection, or a special happening with a friend or sibling. After the child shares, he or she asks the circle, “Are there any questions?” In the conversation that follows children learn much about each other, especially respect for someone else’s ideas. Please help your child to be prepared to share on his or her sharing day. Also, help your child remember to  not bring TOYS, stuffed animals, cars, legos, etc to school for sharing. If you have any questions about what is appropriate to share, please email me.
