We've had two 4 Winds lessons so far this year. Thanks to Suzanne and Jay for taking the lead on these. In September we learned about the sun and the rotation of the Earth. We discussed how the sun makes it possible for us to live on earth. We explored sunlight and shadows and the idea of day and night and different seasons. We also learned about how living things are affected by these changes.
In October, we explored weathering and erosion and learned how wind, water, gravity, and ice shape and change the elements of planet earth. We discussed the impact of these things on earth and looked at how erosion and deposition changes the landscape around us.
