Last minute decision!

Hello Parents,

This afternoon, students from our buddy class taught us a choreographed dance.   All the children did so well, that the fourth graders decided to invite us to join them in their flash mob planned for tomorrow around 12:30 on the state house lawn.  The fourth graders have created this dance as a fundraiser and an awareness of/for endangered animals, which they have been studying over the last month.  Our students accepted the offer, so if you're "happening to be around the state house during your lunch break" stop to take a look.

I've attempted to explain to the students what a flash mob is - a concept very difficult for them to understand.  Their job was to tell you to come to eat lunch at the state house - but try to be sly about why.  For some of them, even after the explanation, it was difficult for them to internalize what this means.

Because this was decided at 2:15 this afternoon, I was unable to get a notice out, but if you're around, remember to keep your eyes open at the state house.  For those of you whose kids are keeping it a secret, but told you to eat lunch at the state house, please don't tell them I shared this event with you!  I know some are excited to be keeping a secret from their parents!!!

Also, keep in mind that the kinders just learned the dance at 2:00 this afternoon and haven't had a whole lot of time to perfect it!

:)
