I cannot believe the end of the school year is upon us. It seems like the first day of school
was just last month. At the same time, I look at the progress each child has
made throughout the year. They have
not only grown a few inches but have also grown academically and socially. Our classroom community is thriving and
I am proud and excited to continue onto first grade with them.
To
celebrate the end of our school year, I would like to invite you to an end of
the year potluck to be held in Keith and Leah Jones’ backyard on Tuesday, June
11th from 5:00-6:30 (raindate, Thursday, June 13th ). I hope to enjoy dinner as a
larger community and celebrate our year together as a whole. Because of space, I would encourage
that only immediate family join – children are most welcome!
In
order to make this successful, I need your help. I am looking for families to provide food, beverages,
plasticware, and help provide chairs and tables. If you can volunteer to supply a few items and help me
organize, please let me know how you can help. Please return this by Wednesday, May 29th. This cookout is intended to be
family/teacher run and organized so we need your help to make it happen! All families are encouraged to bring
lawn chairs.
I
look forward to celebrating with you! If you cannot attend, please let me know
how I can help your child participate.
If you have any questions, feel free to email either Leah or myself.
