Yes, you heard correctly from your child if you heard that there was a LOUD noise in their classroom today and the power went out - and NO, it was not an april fools joke.  Outside the school, crews were working on cutting down trees and they accidently knocked one over the power lines - knocking out all electricity in the school for about an hour.  Luckily, we were able to continue our learning - and even got to practice our questioning. "I wonder....."
