We've been reviewing number partners and number bonds this week during math. We have also been learning to be flexible when writing number sentences, trying to find a variety of ways to show one group of number partners. Students use number bonds to show the whole/parts, and then formulate number sentences. Shake the beans, ladybug race, insect grab and add, and a few others games have helped us practice becoming fluent adders with numbers up to 10. Fun counting games, including the macarena, red light green light, and magic number are class favorites to practice counting forward and backward from any given number. INQUIRE with your child how they also use their math hands to show double digit numbers! Which workplace game is their favorite?
