The new workout of the week consists of moon walking, burpees, and crab kick. Today was day 1 so we hope to improve as the week progresses. Each day, we try and incorporate a few rounds, sometimes with music for increased motivation, sometimes quiet, and sometimes with counting. During music, we work at our own pace and during quiet times, we work together at a similar pace. The goal is to work out our muscles safely and pump some fresh, oxygenated blood in our brain to be ready to learn. The
children are encouraged to work through each exercise and repeat the
sequence as many times as is possible within the allotted time. We have so much fun with these workouts and are quite tired afterwords (or at least I am when I complete a full workout with them!)
