Special Events Next Week
Day 100
Students
will be celebrating the 100th day of Kindergarten on Monday, February
11th. Please have your child bring in 100 pieces of fruit (cut up or in
small pieces) to use in a class snack. Use this preparation as a time
to support your child’s learning in math. Count by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s or 10’s
to ensure there are 100 pieces and to get ready for many counting
activities to be done on Day 100! We could use paper cups, plates, and plastic forks for this day.

My apologies for those parents who had their child ready for E.C.O. this pastWednesday. Due to the delays, cancellations, etc, we have pushed back the schedule. We will be going out next Wednesday, February 13th. Let’s hope for a snowy weekend to help us continue learning about animal tracks! If you’d like to join us, please contact me.
Friendship (Valentines) Day
We
will celebrate our community on Thursday, February 14th, focusing on
the ways that people care for each other, and the importance of good
friends. If your child wants to bring in cards, have them bring them
for ALL classmates. Please see the attached class list your child
created to ensure all children are included. This is a great
opportunity to practice writing names using lower case letters. Working
on a few names each day helps keep this activity fun. Go ahead and
start early..homemade cards are encouraged! Have your child think about
our special helpers around the school that help make each day fun and
exciting! Please do not send your child with any candy for him/herself
or for their friends. If you’d like to send in a special snack for this day, please contact me.
