Throughout the next few weeks, students will be reading a variety of winter poems across the curriculum. This week, we have focused on the poem, "Walking in the Snow." Students are practicing the comprehension strategy of visualizing, many accuracy strategies, and rereading the poem over and over again to help build fluency. Children will continue reading these poems in their independent reading time as all the poems will be made into a poem book. Students are using the visualization strategy to visualize and then make a picture to match the words.
