Theme Week

Believe it or not, we only have 10.5 days of school left! On these last few days of school, children will be reflecting on the year and the growth they’ve made.  Kindergarteners will be spending their days reviewing what they’ve learned, recalling the first weeks of school, and enjoying the community of learners we have created together.

Next week, the whole Kindergarten will be doing a variety of team activities.  On Thursday, we invite families to join their Kindergartners for a picnic lunch from 12-1 on the lower playground.  We suggest packing lunch from home on this day for you and your child.  Of course, lunch from the cafeteria will be available, if you choose.  This is a great opportunity to reflect with your child and other Kindergarten families on a great year!

Other activities throughout the week will integrate with your child’s learning each day.

Monday, June 10th - Kindergarten Memories Day.  Help your child choose a memento to bring from home that helps them remember their first day/weeks of Kindergarten - ie. story, picture, drawing, etc). We will be sharing these at Morning Meeting on this day.

Tuesday, June 11th - Library Day.  The Kellogg Hubbard Library will be doing a summer reading presentation.  Guest readers from around the school will be reading to classes.

Wednesday, June 12th - Bubble Day.  Children can bring in LABELED wands, and if you can donate bubble soap, let your child’s teacher know.

Thursday, June 13th - Picnic Day with Families from 12-1 on lower playground.  Pack lunch from home for you and your child..

Friday, June 14th - Craft Day with Recycled Materials.

Reminder: Monday, June 17th- Field Trip to Montshire-  wear swimsuits under clothes, and bag lunch  with drink needed.

We look forward to finishing the year off strong and helping your children get ready for their First Grade Year!
