Message from Mark Mason, Superintendent

As a result of the heavy rains of the past few weeks, the steep incline behind the school has been severely compromised. Immediately, we met with pertinent municipal department heads and other specifically skilled professionals to determine a remedy to the current situation.

Accordingly, the following will occur:
-  the lower playground is closed until further notice;
-  the embankment will have trees removed and be re-graded;
-  the wood from the trees will be cut into firewood and given to low income families;
-  a team of engineers and contractors will work to create a new bank design that will include terracing for easy access and garden sites; they will also work to incorporate benches and other shared spaces that are age appropriate.
-  Kindergarten and Grade One students will use the upper playground before school recess and during the day recess;
-  Kindergarten will join Grade One pupils in the auditorium in the event of an indoor morning recess.
-  all should avoid the lower playground and the back perimeter road at all costs.

Kindly share this information with the larger community as needed.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
