Students had a sneak peak of what 2nd grade ECO would look like for them as we climbed our way up to Hubbard Park. Students walked the trail behind the state house, stopping by the tour for a quick tour. (and some viewing of baby birds in their nest). Students then continued to the old shelter where they learned about the five voices birds use and performed skits. Students played a baby bird/hawk game and spent some time in their buddy's sit spot looking and listening for birds. As we shared what we were thankful for in our closing thanksgiving circle, it was exciting to hear how thankful our 1st graders were for the sun, earth, trees, and especially the perfect end to ECO in Hubbard park with their fifth grade buddies!
