Technology

Students started a program called Scratch today during their computer class. Mr. Jarrad taught them how to get going in this terrific program that teaches computer programming to anyone from 1st graders to adults. The program uses little blocks that represent commands. The students fit them together to make things happen.

This link goes to a student's project. She's just starting it but you can see what she did in 30 minutes. Her program includes a command to ask the user to type in a name. She painted the background and added the unicorn. INQUIRE with your child about this program and whether this is theirs!
